Complete review of the Evolve Fusion by Drew Elia

In his YouTube video, Drew Elia shares his impressions after several weeks of testing the Evolve Fusion, the brand's new high-end electric skateboard.

The Fusion integrates the technology of the GTR, Hadean, and Diablo models and is designed to offer a powerful, smooth, and lightweight ride. Below is the transcript of his experience feedback.

A Well-Thought-Out Board

What I love about this Evolve electric board is that it lives up to its name: Fusion. It brings together the strengths of the GTR, Hadean, and Diablo models - the comfortable deck of the GTR, the controlled power of the Hadean, and the Diablo's powerful 200 A ESC - and combines them into one setup.

The result: a powerful and versatile electric skate, lighter, more maneuverable, with no compromise on performance or ride feel.

Balanced Performance

The Evolve Fusion features two 3,000 W motors, paired with the ESC Diablo 200 A controller. The result: smooth, responsive, and progressive acceleration, especially in Corsa mode, which I used throughout the review.

The top speed is 50 km/h, allowing for real enjoyment while maintaining control. Clearly, it's not about excess but about optimizing torque, stability, and safety, even at high speeds.

Compact Format, Generous Range

The Fusion's deck is slightly shorter than the Diablo's, improving the electric skate's maneuverability without sacrificing foot space. The 12S3P Samsung 50S (648 Wh) battery offers an excellent balance between range and weight.

With a total weight of 12.5 kg in all-terrain configuration and 11.3 kg in street configuration, it's a light and practical board. Whether for daily commutes or the pleasure of the ride, it's perfectly sized.

Ultra-Precise Carving

In terms of carving sensation, the Evolve Fusion is a real gem. The new Super Carve 2 trucks offer precise and smooth steering. I tested the board without adjusting the original settings, and the behavior was already excellent. The all-terrain wheels with beige sidewalls provide perfect grip. The result: a lively, ultra-playful ride, perfect for riders who love tight turns.

This is where the Fusion reveals its full potential in electric carving.

Real-World Range

I weigh a little over 100 kg, rode exclusively in Corsa mode, with AT wheels, and reached nearly 40 km before completely draining the battery. For a board of this power and format, it's an excellent range. And I'm sure Sport or Eco mode would allow for even further distances.

This proves that the Evolve controller's energy management is truly optimized, with good power delivery without unnecessary loss.

A Customized Ride

What I find very clever is the modularity of the Fusion. You can, for example, install its battery on a Diablo Bamboo deck for a lighter setup, or vice versa. Evolve clearly thought about compatibility as a whole during the design of this skate.

And with the Phaze remote and the Evolve mobile app, I can customize everything: max speed, power curve, lighting, ride modes… It's a board that adapts to every style, and that's a big advantage in the long run.

Drew Elia's Verdict

For me, the Fusion is a total success. This board perfectly fills the gap between the GTR and Diablo ranges, bringing more fluidity, less weight, and truly convincing range. It's the type of powerful electric skateboard you want to take out every day, whether for city rides, carving, or outings with friends.

Evolve has expertly combined its best technologies to create a new standard in high-end e-skate. I can't wait to test it in street configuration.

Complete review of the Evolve Fusion by ESK8UNITY

In one of its latest reviews, ESK8 UNITY shares its impressions after several weeks of riding the new Evolve Fusion. This 2-in-1 electric skateboard combines the best elements of previous ranges — GTR, Hadean, and Diablo — in a lighter, more agile, and modern format. Here is the full summary of its feedback.

Technical Specifications

The deck is made of 3 plies of bamboo and 2 plies of fiberglass, with a length of 95.5 cm and a width of 24 cm. The total weight is 12.5 kg (in all-terrain configuration), with a maximum load of 120 kg.

Its compact and refined design is distinguished by a carefully crafted natural finish, enhanced by highly precise laser engravings.

Trucks and Wheels: Optimal Carving

The Fusion is equipped with the new SuperCarve 2 trucks, which I consider the best double kingpin trucks on the market right now. The carving is precise, stable, and ultra-smooth.

The board is fitted with 7-inch wheels with beige sidewalls paired with precision ceramic gold bearings with integrated speed rings. A very successful setup for a dynamic and comfortable ride.

Ride Feel

This is where this board impressed me the most. It feels like riding a boosted GTR, with a thinner deck, a soft flex without being too soft, and highly responsive trucks.

The carving is sharp, agile, and very intuitive. The board's behavior is more playful, more precise, while maintaining good comfort underfoot. If you enjoy a nervous yet stable ride, this board is for you.

Real-World Range

On dry terrain, in the middle of summer, with all-terrain tyres and in Corsa mode, I achieved 46 km of range. In street 97 mm wheels configuration, I was able to reach nearly 56 km.

This is due to excellent software optimization: the acceleration curve, battery management, and consumption are perfectly balanced to get the most out of every watt without unnecessary waste.

Performance: Speed, Braking, Modes

  • Top speed: around 45 km/h on a slight downhill, in Corsa mode, with AT tyres.
  • Uphills: no difficulty, smooth ascent at 41 km/h on a steep slope.
  • Braking: clear, progressive, reassuring, even at 24 km/h.
  • Eco Mode: surprisingly effective, up to 25 km/h with smooth but responsive acceleration. A very good mode to extend ride duration or to introduce someone to electric skateboarding.

Details to Know

Two points to note:

  • The empty space visible behind the front truck slightly breaks the overall aesthetic. I would have liked the enclosure to cover it.
  • The price of €2,099 is certainly high, but justified by the quality of the components: trucks, ESC, Phaze remote with color screen, and full diagnostics via the mobile app. It's a premium board, at all levels.

ESK8 UNITY's Verdict

For me, the Fusion is the best evolution of the GTR, in a more modern, more manageable, and much more lively format. It perfectly combines mastered power, sharp carving, real range, and riding pleasure.

If you're looking for a high-end 2-in-1 electric skate with smooth behavior, refined design, and top-notch technology, the Fusion is an excellent choice. A true mini Diablo, but much more practical for everyday use.

Complete review of the Evolve Fusion by Average E-skate

Chris from Average Eskate Reviews recently posted a complete review of the new Evolve Fusion electric board on his YouTube channel. A ride enthusiast and knowledgeable about our models, he shares in this video a frank and precise experience feedback on the board. We have transcribed his comments here, organized into six main parts to highlight the strengths of this skate according to him. An excellent starting point to better understand what makes the Fusion so special.

A Real Board

What I love about the Fusion is that it stays true to the pure spirit of skating. It's not just a big electronic setup on a deck. It's a real board, that carves, rides, and responds.

It reminds me exactly of what I felt with my first GTR: that sense of freedom, fluidity, raw pleasure. Where some electric models lose the soul of skateboarding, this one keeps it. It's instinctive, balanced, natural. You really feel the board under your feet, and that's essential.

The Right Speed

No, this board isn't trying to break speed records, and honestly, that's a good thing. I reach 42–43 km/h, which is plenty fast to ride hard without endangering myself. Here, the power is controlled, and that's much more reassuring. The Fusion goes fast, yes, but in a smooth, stable, controlled way. And for urban rides or big carving sessions, that's exactly what's needed.

Solid Range

On this point, Evolve remains true to its reputation: the reported figures are consistent. We're talking about 40 km of range, and personally, I regularly get between 37 and 39 km, riding quite hard. That's more than acceptable.

The only thing that bothers me a bit is the 4-hour charge time. I think it would be great if a fast charger were offered, even as an option. Yes, it wears the battery out faster, but that should be our choice. When you want to go out for a ride in the afternoon, waiting four hours is too long.

Easy to Live With

What I really appreciated is the ease of transport of this board. It's light, compact, I can carry it with one hand and go up stairs without any trouble. Honestly, compared to a Diablo or a Hadean, it's like night and day.

Here, you can go to the city, do some shopping, go into a store without struggling. And on a ride, it's lively, maneuverable, it reacts instantly. For everyday use, it's exactly the right format. Practical, but without compromising on fun.

Premium Design

Aesthetically, this board is stunning. The wood, the finishes, the gold trucks, the beige wheels… everything is perfectly matched. The deck reminds me of a high-end wooden piece of furniture. And the engraved logo on the wood, it immediately gives a premium feel.

It's the kind of board you want to leave out in the open at home, it's so beautiful. You can feel that every detail has been thought out, and to me, that matters as much as performance. When you invest in a product like this, it's nice to see it's as beautiful as it is good to ride.

Precise and Simple Control

The Phaze remote is a sure bet. I really like it: it feels good in hand, it's sturdy, and most importantly, it lets you adjust a lot of settings — speed, lighting, ride modes… I'm riding in Corsa mode, which gives a superb acceleration right from the start.

As for braking, there's nothing to complain about: it's progressive, reliable, and reassuring. Maybe the screen could be a bit brighter in full sun, but that's really a minor detail. What I appreciate is that everything is simple, clear, and effective. You control your board effortlessly.

Average Eskate Reviews' Verdict

For me, the Fusion is a return to basics, but in 2025 version. It's a board that keeps the Evolve DNA, with all the riding pleasure you expect, but in a more practical, lighter, more modern format. I had a GTR back in the day, and this model really replaces it in my heart.

It's more powerful, prettier, and above all, still just as fun to ride. Clearly, it's a board I'm going to keep and take out very often.
