Categories : Tests

Looking for a rigid, powerful, fast, and ultra-stable electric skateboard!?? You're in the right place.

Here, you will find detailed tests of the Evolve Diablo Carbon, a board designed for those who want to push the limits.

The Diablo Carbon builds on the Hadean model, but with major internal improvements: more power, more range, and above all, a radically different ride feel thanks to its fully forged carbon deck.

Dive into these tests to discover why the Diablo Carbon stands out as a top-tier reference in the E-skate world.

A fully reinforced board

Underfoot, you'll find a 100% carbon deck, ultra-rigid.
No flex, but absolute stability. The shape features a discreet micro-drop, a subtle central concave, and a premium finish that inspires confidence.

Result: a board that holds the road at high speed, without parasitic vibrations, with a true surf feeling, very different from the "snowboard" style of the Bamboo version.

Power and Control

The Diablo Carbon boasts the new 6374 motors with 3,500 W each, totaling 7,000 W in all.
They are paired with the controllerEFOC 2.0 that manages:

  • Power peaks

  • Cell balancing

  • Thermal protection and overcurrent

During tests, the controller automatically limited the power of the Corsa mode after 8 seconds at full load, to prevent overheating. A vibration signal alerts the rider, enhancing the feeling of safety.

Acceleration & ride modes: a progressive power build-up

The remote offers three main modes:

  • Eco: perfect for learning without stress

  • Sport: already very dynamic

  • Corsa: beware, it's powerful! The acceleration is violent, the board takes off like a rocket

It's clearly a skateboard designed for demanding riders.

Super Carve 2 Trucks and 7″ Tires: Precision and Grip Assured

The new Super Carve 2 trucks are a delight for carving.
They offer:

  • Impeccable stability at high speed

  • A precise gliding sensation

The 175 mm (7") tires offer excellent grip, even on rough or uneven roads.

Drew Elia's Verdict

If you're looking for a rigid, very fast, and technically mastered electric skateboard, the Diablo Carbon is for you.

It offers a radically different riding experience from the Bamboo version: more stable, more direct, more "race", but a bit less comfortable.
An ideal board for long straight lines, heavy riders, or those passionate about precise gliding.

Solid, very well built, and designed to handle power, it confirms Evolve's mastery in the high-end segment.

Complete test of the Evolve Diablo Carbon by Average Eskate Reviews

After riding the Bamboo version, I turned to the Diablo Carbon, and let me tell you right away: this board changes the game.

In this comprehensive test, I'll go over the strengths as well as the limitations of this high-end model from Evolve. Because beyond the impressive specs, it's on the road that the Diablo Carbon needs to prove it deserves its place among the top electric skates.

A premium, clearly high-end design

At first glance, the Diablo Carbon impresses.
Its forged carbon deck, with integrated LED strips, exudes a true luxury object look.

Unlike other skates where the LEDs seem like a gimmick, here everything is well-integrated, elegant, robust.
And it doesn't stop there: overall waterproofing has been improved compared to the Hadean, making the board much more reassuring in light rain.

Technical evolutions: more than just a facelift

Compared to the Hadean Carbon, everything has been revised (except the deck):

  • More adhesive grip tape = better foot locking

  • Trucks widened by 20 mm = increased stability without sacrificing carving

  • New motors = more power, better thermal dissipation

  • ESC E-FOC 2.0 = better electronic management and built-in safety

You can feel that each improvement addresses a concrete need of the riders.

Riding sensations: stable, precise, powerful

On the road, the Diablo Carbon inspires confidence.
The combination of wide trucks, deck rigidity, and large motors provides a board that is:

  • Stable even at low speed

  • Predictable in its reactions

  • Excellent in moderate carving

The ride is very different from the Bamboo version, which offers more flexibility and allows for deeper carves. Here, it's more rigid, but more direct, more sporty.

Max speed and acceleration: it's lively!

Evolve announces ~50 km/h... and it's real.
With a rider weighing 75–80 kg, the board reliably reaches 50 km/h.

Acceleration in Corsa mode is frankly brutal, it takes some time to get used to. Thankfully, everything is customizable in the app or via the basic modes.

Braking: finally up to par

Good surprise: the braking is greatly improved compared to the GTR or Hadean.

You can slide the wheels effortlessly, proof that the system is powerful, adjustable, and reassuring.
Ideal when riding at 50 km/h...

Autonomy

With sporty but smooth riding, I was able to reach between 45 and 48 km of range.
This is an excellent result for such a powerful skate.

But beware: on loose surfaces (sand, gravel), the range drops quickly.

Charging time: THE weak point

4 hours for a full charge, with no fast charge option.
It's frustrating in 2025, especially when riding intensely.

Message to Evolve: offer a fast charger option, even if it means warning that it reduces battery life. Let the riders choose.

Price: high, but justified

The Diablo Carbon represents a significant investment. But in return, Evolve offers:

  • Local customer service

  • Access to human customer support, fast, responsive

  • A premium quality, from the deck to the remote

For those who just want raw performance, there are cheaper alternatives.

But for peaceful, smooth, accessible, well-supported use: Evolve remains the "Apple" of e-skate.

Phaze remote: a real plus

Robust, well-designed, with:

  • Full display (speed, range...)

  • Intelligent vibrations (overcurrent, mode drop, etc.)

  • Ability to check cell health, directly from the remote

Verdict: a refined, reliable, and powerful board

  • High-end look and quality
  • Solid autonomy and performance
  • Powerful braking
  • Local customer service and serious support
  • Slow charging (4 h)
  • A slightly short deck for large feet (personal opinion)
