Categories : Tests

Looking for a rigid, powerful, fast, and ultra-stable electric skateboard? You're in the right place.

Here, you'll find detailed reviews of the Evolve Diablo Carbon, a board designed for those who want to push their limits.

The Diablo Carbon builds on the Hadean model, but with major internal improvements: more power, more range, and above all, a radically different ride feel thanks to its fully forged carbon deck.

Dive into these reviews to discover why the Diablo Carbon stands out as a top choice in the high-end e-skate market.

Drew Elia's full review of the Evolve Diablo Carbon

A fully reinforced board

Underfoot, you'll find a 100% carbon, ultra-rigid deck.
No flex, but absolute stability. The shape features a discreet micro-drop, a subtle central concave, and a premium finish that inspires confidence.

Result: a board that holds the road at high speeds, without unwanted vibrations, with a genuine surf feel, very different from the "snowboard" style of the Bamboo version.

Power and Control

The Diablo Carbon features the new 6374 motors of 3,500 W each, totaling 7,000 W in total.
They are paired with the controller EFOC 2.0 which manages:

  • Power surges

  • Cell balancing

  • Thermal protection and overcurrent

During the tests, the controller automatically limited the power of the Corsa mode after 8 seconds at full load to avoid overheating. A vibration signal alerts the rider, enhancing the sense of security.

Acceleration & riding modes: a gradual power build-up

The remote offers three main modes:

  • Eco: perfect for learning without stress

  • Sport: already very dynamic

  • Corsa: watch out, it's powerful! The acceleration is intense, and the board takes off like a rocket

This is clearly a skate made for demanding riders.

Super Carve 2 trucks and 7″ tires: Precision and Grip assured

The new Super Carve 2 trucks are a delight for carving.
They offer:

  • Impeccable stability at high speed

  • Precise ride feel

The 175 mm (7") tires offer excellent grip, even on rough or uneven roads.

Drew Elia's Verdict

If you're looking for a rigid, very fast, and technically mastered electric skateboard, the Diablo Carbon is for you.

It offers a radically different ride experience compared to the Bamboo version: more stable, more direct, more "race", but a bit less comfortable.
An ideal board for long straight lines, heavier riders, or those passionate about precise riding.

Solid, very well built, and designed to handle power, it confirms Evolve's mastery in the high-end segment.

Average Eskate Reviews' full review of the Evolve Diablo Carbon

After riding the Bamboo version, I turned to the Diablo Carbon, and let me tell you right away: this board changes the game.

In this full review, I go over the strengths, but also the limitations of this high-end model from Evolve. Because beyond the impressive specs, it's on the road that the Diablo Carbon must prove it deserves its place among the top electric skates.

A premium design, clearly high-end

At first glance, the Diablo Carbon makes a statement.
Its forged carbon deck, with LED integrated like a "light strip", exudes a true luxury object look.

Unlike other skates where the LEDs seem gimmicky, here everything is well integrated, elegant, and robust.
And it doesn't stop there: the overall waterproofing has been improved compared to the Hadean, making the board much more reassuring in light rain.

Technical Evolutions: more than just a facelift

Compared to the Hadean Carbon, everything has been revised (except the deck):

  • More adhesive grip tape = better foot lock

  • Trucks widened by 20 mm = increased stability without sacrificing carving

  • New motors = more power, better thermal dissipation

  • ESC E-FOC 2.0 = better electronic management and onboard safety

You can feel that each improvement addresses a concrete need of the riders.

Ride feel: stable, precise, powerful

On the road, the Diablo Carbon inspires confidence.
The combination of wide trucks, deck rigidity, and large motors creates a board that is:

  • Stable even at low speeds

  • Predictable in its reactions

  • Excellent in moderate carving

The ride is very different from the Bamboo version, which offers more flexibility and allows for deeper carves. Here, it's stiffer but more direct, more sporty.

Top speed and acceleration: it's lively!

Evolve claims ~50 km/h… and it's real.
With a rider of 75–80 kg, the board reliably hits 50.

Acceleration in Corsa mode is truly brutal, it takes a bit of time to get used to. Fortunately, everything is customizable in the app or via the basic modes.

Braking: finally up to par

Pleasant surprise: the braking is greatly improved compared to the GTR or Hadean.

You can make the wheels slide effortlessly, proof that the system is powerful, adjustable, and reassuring.
Ideal when riding at 50 km/h…

Range

With sporty yet smooth riding, I was able to achieve between 45 and 48 km of range.
This is an excellent result for such a powerful skate.

But beware: on soft ground (sand, gravel), the range drops quickly.

Charging time: THE weak point

4 hours for a full charge, without fast charge option.
It's frustrating in 2025, especially when riding hard.

Message to Evolve: offer a fast charger option, even if it means warning that it reduces battery life. Let the riders choose.

Price: high, but justified

The Diablo Carbon represents a significant investment. But in return, Evolve offers:

  • Local after-sales service

  • Access to human customer support, quick and responsive

  • A premium quality, from the deck to the remote

For those who just want raw performance, there are cheaper alternatives.

But for serene, smooth, accessible, well-supported use: Evolve remains the "Apple" of e-skate.

Phaze Remote: a real asset

Robust, well-designed, with:

  • Comprehensive screen (speed, range...)

  • Smart vibrations (overcurrent, mode drop, etc.)

  • Ability to check cell health directly from the remote

Verdict: a complete, reliable, and powerful board

  • High-end look and quality
  • Solid range and performance
  • Powerful braking
  • Local after-sales service and serious support
  • Slow charge (4 h)
  • A slightly short deck for big feet (personal opinion)
