How do I know if my motor mount needs replacing?
A damaged motor mount typically shows visible signs like cracks, deformation after an impact, or difficulty aligning the motor. If your motor vibrates abnormally or you notice play in the mounting, it's time to check the mount's condition.
Can I replace the motor mount myself?
Yes, replacement is straightforward with basic tools. You'll need a 1/8-inch Allen key, supplied with your board. Remove the mounting screws, replace the mount, and reinstall the motor by following the steps in reverse. Check for proper tightening before riding.
Are the mounts sold individually or in pairs?
Motor mounts are sold individually. If you need to replace both sides, order two mounts of the same size corresponding to your motors. Choose 1500W, 3000W, or 3500W depending on your Evolve electric skateboard model.
What's the difference between 1500W, 3000W, and 3500W mounts?
The mounts differ in their dimensions and mounting points, adapted to each motor size. The 3500W mount is designed for the larger Diablo motors, the 3000W for Hadean and GTR2 motors, and the 1500W for classic GT, GTX, and Stoke models.
Is the mount covered by warranty?
Replacement motor mounts are covered by the standard Evolve parts warranty against manufacturing defects. Damage caused by impacts, intensive use, or improper installation is not covered by this warranty.
How do I choose the right mount size for my board?
Refer to the compatibility section above to identify your model. Diablo uses 3500W mounts, Hadean, GTR2, Stoke X, and Fusion use 3000W mounts, and GT, GTX, GTR1, and Stoke use 1500W mounts. Check the power indicated on your motors if in doubt.
