We're going to show you how to replace the battery of your GTR electric longboard. Replacing the battery is essential to maintain your board's optimal performance. Follow these steps for an easy and secure replacement.

  • Range: A new battery ensures maximum range for your rides.
  • Performance: Maintains your skateboard's performance at an optimal level.
  • Safety: Avoid risks associated with a worn or defective battery.
  • Y-Tool (Provided with your skateboard)
  • Allen Key (Provided with your skateboard or a 1/8 Allen key)

Make sure you have your Y-Tool and Allen key

Before you start, make sure your skateboard is turned off for safety reasons.

Unscrew the screws: Use the Allen key to unscrew all the screws from the deck.

Remove the last screw: Start by unscrewing the screw shown in the top photo. Keep the last screw, located in the center and at the front of the deck (shown in the bottom photo), for last. This keeps the battery in place until you're ready to remove it.

Support the battery: Place your hand under the battery while removing the last screw to prevent it from falling.

Disconnect the main connector: Pull evenly on the main connector to unplug it. Avoid pulling on the connector wires to prevent damage.

Align the connectors: Make sure the arrows and Evolve logos on the connectors are aligned (on the same side).

Connect the new battery: Plug in the new battery and check that the blue light turns on to confirm the correct connection.

Position the battery: Slide the new battery's connector wire into the designated cavity.

Screw in the first screw: Start by screwing in one screw (see photo) to hold the battery in place.

Align the holes: The second screw to tighten is the one at the front of the deck in the middle (This is the last screw you unscrewed when you removed the old battery). Make sure the holes are aligned before screwing in the second screw.

Tighten the screws: Tighten the screws firmly but without over-tightening to avoid damaging the deck.

Functionality test: Turn on the skateboard to check that everything is working correctly.
Safety: Make sure all screws are tightly fastened and the battery is securely in place.
