Evolve's double kingpin trucks are designed to mimic the feel of snowboarding and surfing, allowing for a smoother glide and more precise carving. Adjusting the stiffness of the trucks can help you achieve top speeds while maintaining optimal stability.

Steps to Adjust Your Evolve Super Carve 2 Trucks
1. Understanding Truck Components
Double kingpin: Allows for smoother and more precise carving.
Two pivots (one boardside, one roadside): Each pivot has a barrel-shaped top bushing and a cone-shaped bottom bushing (Bushing = Small urethane pieces that make your ride smoother).
2. Adjusting Truck Stiffness
Riders looking for tight turns: Set your trucks looser.
Riders looking for high top speeds: Set your trucks tighter to ensure stability and prevent speed wobbles.
Minimum tightening: Leave two full threads visible on the kingpin as a starting point.
3. Adjusting Bushings
Bushings too tight: If a bushing bulges on the sides, opt for a harder bushing.
Bushings too loose: If the bushings are not held properly in place, use softer bushings.
Example setup:
For an 80 kg rider: Use a 90A bushing roadside for responsive carving and a 92A bushing boardside for stability.
For high-speed stability, stiffen the rear truck with 95A and 98A bushings respectively.
4. Truck Maintenance
Eliminating squeaks: Disassemble the trucks, wipe the bushings and pivot cups, and apply lithium grease or any other grease you have.
Bushing replacement: Bushings wear out over time and should be replaced when they are permanently compressed or start to deteriorate.
5. Checking and Testing
Functionality test: Feel a smooth resistance and responsive rebound when you turn.
Final adjustment: Gradually tighten each truck to find the optimal setting for your ride.
